Permanent Vacation Giveaway!

It's only August 16th, but for many of us summertime is coming to an end. Next week I am entering into a new chapter in my life. I'm going back to being a student. I have worked full-time for years now, and while I am excited about the possibilities and what this could mean for my future - I am also nervous about having to live on a tight budget (it's something I haven't really had to do in a long while). I am nervous that I'll be out of sync with other students, that haven't been out of a school for so long. I'm pretty competitive, so I am worried that my poor hubby will end up picking up a lot of slack at home in order for me to study.

Fall means a lot of new things coming my way. And, perhaps it means the same for you as well.

So, in order to keep a little bit of that summer spirit going. I am giving away a pair of super cute floral print leggings from Sweden's Permanent Vacation. These guys were made in small batches (and were released as part of a limited collection) in Sweden and are made of a lovely cotton. They will fit an xs to m.

Giveaway ends August 31 at 5pm. To enter follow and leave a comment. And, if you tweet this post you get a second entry.

Good Luck!

Workout Outfits: Hitting the Gym

So as you can guess, I've been hitting the gym more than researching cute gym outfits to post. Ok, well maybe I've also been trying to fit in a little bit of time to just enjoy what's left of summer. (I start classes the week of the 24th!) And, like the rest of us I want to make the most of what is left of the season, that means hiking, lemonade, a lazy afternoon of reading out on the patio, and indulging in the seasons fresh fruits and veggies. (I've been trying to cook some new recipes.)

But, as promised here are some cute duds I would love to have to wear to the gym and boot camp.

This Anthropologie off the shoulder tee.

These capri-length joggers from Stella McCartney for Adidas.

These veggie friendly sneaks available at MooShoes.

And...

This Stella for Adidas hoodie (for those chilly morning workouts)

This cute tank from Patagonia...

Yet, another item from Stella for Adidas (I'm sensing a theme here)

And these cute kicks also available at MooShoes.

Next up... what to wear hiking.

Mount Diablo

On Sunday morning we woke up to fog and 50 degree temperatures, so rather than head 45 minutes west (to colder, foggier temps), we headed 45 minutes east to Mt. Diablo state park - where it was sunny and in the 80's.

And while not as beautiful as some of the hikes at Point Reyes, the whole scene did remind me of Little House On The Prairie. And, we were able to get some much needed sun.

It also really brought to my attention the fact that I really should "invest" in some good hiking clothes. It really is the last ting to cross my mind when I think about shopping, but with the amount of hiking we seem to do it would be a good idea. Stay tuned for a round-up of (hopefully cute/fashionable) workout and hiking gear.
